# Popover Render Hooks

> FullCalendar v7 documentation. Web version: https://fullcalendar.io/docs/popover-render-hooks

Customize the popover that opens when the user clicks a more-link, and its close button.

`popoverClass` - a [ClassName Input](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/classname-input.md) for the outermost popover element. Accepts a string only, not a function.

`popoverCloseClass` - a [ClassName Input](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/classname-input.md) for the close button. Accepts a string only, not a function.

`popoverCloseContent` - a [Content Injection Input](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/content-injection.md). Generated content is inserted *inside* the close button, typically an icon. There is no default content; the bundled themes supply their own icon. The button's accessible label comes from [closeHint](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/hints.md).

The popover's header and body reuse other hooks. The header takes the [Day-Header Render Hooks](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/day-header-render-hooks.md), and the body takes `dayCellClass` and `dayCellInnerClass` from the [Day-Cell Render Hooks](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/day-cell-render-hooks.md). In both, `info.inPopover` is `true`, so you can style the popover differently from the rest of the view. The header's date format is set by [popoverFormat](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/popoverFormat.md).
